Use the UCUM Codes administration page to view, edit, and add UCUM codes in Copia.

Accessing this Page

• Click the Administration menu button, click the Order Choice Setup button, and then click the UCUM Codes submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Administration menu button.

When you click the Administration menu button, Copia opens the main Administration menu, which contains administrative menu buttons, including the Order Choice Setup menu. To return to the main menu for Copia, click the Lab Tasks menu button.

Viewing the UCUM Codes List

1. The UCUM Code list page contains a list of up to ten UCUM codes or display units, displayed in alphabetical order. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of UCUM codes, to navigate through the list.
2. To view active UCUM codes only, select the Show active only checkbox at the top of the UCUM Code list page. You may set the active/inactive status in the UCUM Code Details section of the UCUM Code details page. See "Adding and Editing UCUM Codes" below.
3. Enter text into the UCUM code field to search for a specific UCUM code. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the Refresh button to refresh UCUM code results in the table list.
4. Enter text into the Display units field to search for specific display units for the code. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the Refresh button to refresh the display unit results in the table list.
5. If you cannot find the desired UCUM code or display unit, click the Add button to add UCUM codes and display units. See "Adding and Editing UCUM Codes" below.
6. Click the name of the UCUM code or display unit in order to view/edit UCUM code and display unit details for the selected UCUM code or display unit. Click the Save button to save any changes made to the UCUM code or display unit.

Adding and Editing UCUM Codes

1. Enter text into the UCUM code field in the UCUM Code Details section on the UCUM Code details page to add a UCUM code in Copia. This field is required.
2. Select the Active checkbox to make the UCUM code have an active status.
3. Enter text into the Display units field in the UCUM Code Details section on the UCUM Code details page to add display units in Copia.
4. Enter text into the Description field in the UCUM Code Details section on the UCUM Code details page to add a brief description of the UCUM code and display unit that you are adding in Copia.
5. Enter text into the Version field in the UCUM Code Details section on the UCUM Code details page to add a version number to the UCUM code and display unit.
6. Click the name of any UCUM code or display unit on the UCUM Code list page to edit UCUM code and display unit detail information.
7. Click the Save button to add the UCUM code to the UCUM Code list page. The new UCUM code will appear in the UCUM code table list. Click the < Back to List button to return to the UCUM Code list page without adding a UCUM code or display unit.
